- Costume
- Shoes & socks
- Wig & hair grips
- Tiara/Hairband
- Safety pin for number
- Water bottle.
- Pen and paper (to record results)
at the feis
- Firstly, allow enough time to get to the venue and remember you always need to be there ready to dance 30mins before stated time.
- Upon arrival there is normally an entry fee for adults, programmes can also be bought here which lists the competitors in each age group, grade and school.
- You will need to pick up your child's number from the registration desk (ask at the door as to where the desk is situated). Tell the people at the desk your child's name and dance school (Scoil Rince í Muir).
- Find the hall which your child is dancing in and get a seat.
- Use the changing rooms provided to get your child ready - DO NOT GET DRESSED IN THE HALL.
- Make sure your child is dressed and warmed up 30mins before stated time.
- Make sure you know which dances your child is competing in and at what grade (sometimes grades are alternated).
- Listen out for the competition to be called and your child will need to line up at the side of the stage/floor.
- Take note of the results and the number of competitors that danced in each dance.
feis RULES
- No make-up or false tan is to be worn in beginners or primary up to and including the under 12 age group.
- No changing in the competition halls.
- No video or photos to be taken whilst dancers are on stage.
- No hairspray or aerosols to be used in the dancing areas.
- Tidy up after yourself.
